For His Sake...

The Order of the Daughters of the King® was founded in 1885 by Margaret J. Franklin at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in New York City. Members of the Order undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service.

The order is a devotional group for women dedicated to Prayer, Service and Evangelism. We are not a fund raising group but rely on dues and donations to support us and the National Office.

The Angelus Chapter at St Gabriel’s meets the last Wednesday of the month from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.  At meetings we have time for prayer, discuss chapter business and have a Study Session. Sometimes there is time for a short service.

One of our main functions is to provide an emergency prayer chain, and each month a prayer list is prepared for which we are pledged to pray daily.
